Solenoid valves
Wide range of fully customizable solenoid valves designed to ensure the safe transport, distribution and control of water.
We manufacture a wide range of high-performance solenoid valves.
Our valves are designed to control the flow of water into household and industrial appliances by opening or closing passages.
Our dedication has enabled us to provide high-quality, customized solutions. In partnership with our customers, we design and deliver a high-quality product.
We produce:
Application areas
- washing machines
- dishwasher
- beverage
- vending machines
- sanitary
- medical devices
- air conditioning systems
- and other domestic, commercial or industrial applications
Direct acting solenoid valves
Direct acting solenoid are independent of the incoming water pressure using a diaphragm directly linked to the armature. When the coil is energised the armature lifts the seal from valve orifice thus allowing flow through the valve.
They are supplied normally closed and provide effective on/off control of the liquid under low pressure applications typically less than 0.2 bar.
The range is available with the following approvals : WRAS , NSF , UL/CSA and ENEC
Proportional solenoid valves
The Proportional Solenoid Valve offers the same On/Off control as standard Pilot-Operated Solenoid Valves but with the added functionality to control the flow of water passing over the valve orifice.
Proportional control is offered across hot and cold water supplies from 0.5 up to 12 litres per minute within dynamic pressure range from 0.5-10 bar.
The valve can be controlled using 24VDC power supply or pulse width modulated signal to provide variable control when used in closed loop systems.
Pilot operated solenoid valves
Pilot Operated Plastic Body Solenoid Valves are compact normally closed solenoid valves offering basic ON/OFF functionality and are specifically designed to provide safe conveyance and control of water in systems with inlet pressure from 0.2-10 bar.
Ideally suited for use in a wide range of appliances and equipment.
The range is available with the following approvals : WRAS , NSF, UL/ CSA and ENEC
Latching/bi-stable solenoid valves
Latching solenoid valves, also referred to as bi-stable solenoid valves use a permanent magnet attached to the armature, when energised with short 250msec 6 volt pulse the armature is forced into either open or closed state depending on the signal polarity.
They provide effective on/off control of water services ranging from 0.2 – 10 bar where a constant supply of electrical power is either not appropriate or available.
The range is available with the following approvals : WRAS , NSF , & UL/CSA
Servo-assisted valves
The Servo operated pilot valve is designed for low power 12V DC supplies with maximum 3 watts.
The valve utilises a unique servo system which in turn decreases the power required whilst maintaining control of water supplies from 0.2 to 10bar.
The range is available with the following approvals : WRAS , NSF , & UL/CSA
Some definitions
Standard solenoid valves
Standard solenoid valves are used in domestic and professional appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers and other electrical mechanisms operating with water.
Direct Acting Solenoid Valves
A direct acting electric solenoid valve is mainly used as a drain valve in cold water beverage dispensers, water tanks and similar devices. It operates in a pressure range of 0 to 0.2 bar in direct action only.
Bistable latching solenoid valves
Bistable solenoid valves allow you to remain in one or the other state indefinitely without consuming energy. To switch the valve from one state to another, a short 25 millisecond pulse is applied to the coil by polarity reversal. Thanks to low energy consumption, the longevity of the battery is increased without increasing the temperature of the coil. A cartridge version allows it to be integrated into an automatic water tap or urinal flushing systems, automatic and sensor taps, automatic dispensers, irrigation systems, etc.
Proportional Solenoid Valves - Patent Pending
The proportional valve was developed within our Hydralectric Ltd group. of England (www.hydralectric.com) and is currently patent pending. It provides variable control of water flow via an electronic PWM drive with feedback loop for flow and other critical parameters. It is used in showers and faucets with pump and/or electric heating.
